PE Assessment

Within the PE Passport platform all teachers and the subject leader have access to our comprehensive PE assessment tool. A simple click of a button will allow you assess the child both formatively and summatively as well as giving the pupils access to a child friendly self assessment section.

The teacher‑friendly system is designed to track pupil progress, evidence learning and support data‑informed teaching across your Physical Education curriculum. With intuitive assessment rubrics, bespoke criteria linked to learning outcomes and easy‑to‑use reporting dashboards, teachers can quickly record assessments for individuals and groups, monitor progression over time and share meaningful feedback with pupils and parents. The PE assessment tool supports differentiation, curriculum coherence and objective reporting, helping schools demonstrate impact, identify gaps and celebrate achievement.

As an essential part of high‑quality PE delivery, this assessment solution saves time, enhances accountability and empowers educators to ensure every learner makes progress in skill, fitness and physical confidence.

PE Summative Assessment

The Summative Assessment within our platform uses the Know, Show, Grow criteria. This is to provide a clear, structured way for teachers to evaluate pupil progress in Physical Education.

The Know element assesses understanding of key concepts, rules and tactics.

Show evaluates practical skills and application.

Grow highlights areas for development and personal improvement.

This approach allows teachers to track learning over time, differentiate instruction and provide meaningful feedback to support each pupil’s physical, cognitive and social development.

By embedding these criteria into PE lessons, schools can ensure consistent assessment, measurable progress and evidence-based reporting, making the Know, Show, Grow framework an essential tool for enhancing teaching effectiveness, student engagement, and long-term physical literacy.

Self Assessment Tool

The self assessment tool is a portal that allows for pupil voice feedback via a set of standardised questions. It also offers the ability to record and track your own school specific information. All areas of the assessment section are easily accessible across devices and for the PE lead to monitor.

PE Formative Assessment

The formative assessment is obtained by linking the units of work to intended outcomes. Within each lesson we offer suggested areas of focus and intended outcomes. Outcomes are linked to the National Curriculum with the EYFS outcomes linked to the Early Learning Goals.
