Lancashire PE Passport: Supporting High-Quality Primary PE Across Lancashire

The PE Passport is proud to work in partnership with the Lancashire Professional Development Service—LPDS—and Lancashire County Council to support the planning, teaching and assessment of primary physical education across Lancashire.

Through Lancashire PE Passport, teachers, PE subject leaders and school leaders can access a comprehensive digital platform that brings PE curriculum planning, lesson resources, assessment and evidence gathering together in one place.

Designed by teachers for teachers, the platform provides practical tools and resources to help schools deliver a progressive, engaging and well-structured PE curriculum. Lancashire schools can access the online Lancashire PE Scheme of Work through PE Passport, alongside lesson plans, assessment tools and evidence-capture features.

A PE Partnership Built Around Lancashire Schools

Our partnership combines PE Passport’s digital platform and primary PE expertise with the curriculum knowledge, local insight and professional support of the LPDS team and Lancashire County Council.

Together, we are helping schools make PE planning and assessment more manageable, strengthen subject leadership and support greater consistency in curriculum delivery.

Whether PE is taught by class teachers, subject specialists or a combination of staff, Lancashire PE Passport provides a clear framework through which schools can plan learning, monitor progression and record pupils’ achievements.

How Lancashire PE Passport Supports Your School

Lancashire PE Passport can help your school to:

  • Plan a broad, balanced and progressive primary PE curriculum.
  • Access the online Lancashire PE Scheme of Work.
  • Use structured lesson plans and teaching resources.
  • Support consistency across classes and year groups.
  • Assess pupils and monitor their progress.
  • Capture evidence of learning and achievement.
  • Strengthen PE subject leadership and curriculum oversight.
  • Keep planning, assessment and evidence together in one accessible platform.

Support for Teachers and PE Subject Leaders

Delivering high-quality primary PE requires more than a collection of lesson activities. Teachers need clear progression, practical guidance and resources that can be used confidently in school.

Lancashire PE Passport gives staff a structured starting point while allowing teachers to respond to the needs, abilities and experiences of their pupils. It also gives PE subject leaders a clearer overview of curriculum coverage, assessment and progression across the school.

Through the wider Lancashire partnership, schools can also benefit from the knowledge and support of LPDS physical education specialists. Lancashire County Council describes its primary PE provision as offering expert guidance, updates and resources maintained by skilled LPDS PE consultants.
